Jill M. Wegener, MSN, RN

Jill Wegener has more than 35 years of experience in pediatric and neonatal critical care nursing. She has cared for a broad range of patients in the pediatric intensive care unit, department of pediatrics, air/land transport, and home care settings. Her nursing experience has encompassed roles in education, Quality, Patient Safety and Engagement, and Nursing leadership. She is currently the Senior Vice President, Chief Nursing Officer, and Patient Care Service’s at Blythedale Children’s Hospital, the only free-standing Children’s Hospital in New York State.

Jill obtained an RN Diploma from Albany Medical Center School of Nursing, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from SUNY Institute of Technology at Utica/Rome, and a Master’s of Science in Nursing Leadership and Health Administration from Long Island University. She is the Past President of the Greater New York Organization of Nurse Executives and Leaders and remains an active committee member. She is an active member of the Hospice and Palliative Care Association of New York State (HPCANYS) and co-chairs the HPCANYS Children’s Advisory Board. She has over 30 years’ of experience presenting and lecturing on pediatric nursing-related topics and has several publications.
